La lengua inglesa ha regalado al castellano -y a muchos otros idiomas- palabras como fútbol, penalti, gol, chut, chutar, míster, linier... gracias al deporte. Cosa normal.
El castellano y el vascuence también han regalado vocabulario al inglés a través de deportes como jai alai, pelota vasca, frontón.
Veamos unos ejemplos:
- Jai alai: a court game somewhat like handball played usually by two or four playerswith a ball and a long curved wicker basket strapped to the wrist
Origin: Spanish, from Basque, from jai festival + alai merry.

- Cesta: a narrow curved wicker basket used to catch and propel the ball in jai alai

- Frontón: a jai alai arena
