Manera ambigua de hablar, difícil de entender, y que tiene varias posibles interpretaciones. Un galimatías. Peter’s speech was just double-talk and people couldn’t understand it.

La gente cree que doubletalk o doublespeak tiene su origen en la novela de George Orwell, Nineteen Eighty-four pero no es así, es muy anterior. Orwell habla de newspeak y doublethink. Recomiendo la novela, en inglés, claro.
