Only es un adverbio peligroso que significa sólo. No confundir con alone , solo. Hay que colocar este only en el lugar apropiado para evitar ambigüedades, justo delante de la palabra que queremos resaltar. Si no hacemos esto no nos entenderán bien. Por ejemplo: • Only the teacher says that he saw the accident (El profesor y nadie más). • The teacher only says that he saw the accident (Simplemente afirma). • The teacher says only that he saw the accident (Y no dice otra cosa). • The teacher says that he only saw the accident (Vio pero no oyó). • The teacher says that he saw only the accident (Y ninguna otra cosa).
