PERDER EL OREMUS
Perder el oremu s, f ly off the handle, lose one’s head (temper, cool, bearings, rag), lose it, blow one’s top, work oneself into a lather , is a phrase I have learnt in Spanish recently. I never stop adding new vocabulary and phraseology to my Spanish and English. I had never heard the expression until recently and have added it to my dictionary. It is used frequently, and here are the following citations to prove it: — “Pero estaba tan tocado del oremus por el abuso del alcohol” Historia de los matadores de toros , 1945.
