Final feliz: "Happy end" o "happy ending?

 

Como siempre, el verbo es también sustantivo:
To end: finalizar, terminar, acabar.
End: fin, meta, punta.
Cuando hablamos de la terminación feliz de libro o película decimos: ending, que también es nombre, sustantivo, terminación: the ending of the season, el final de la temporada.
Ending se puede traducir por desenlace y aquí tenemos la solución a nuestro pequeño dilema: The film has a happy ending. The novel also has a happy ending and they get married and live happily ever after.

No olvidemos que los verbos españoles tienen endings, terminaciones.
