RITUAL 1
Slow, purposely adequate reading aloud, even in a whisper, will help in forming the sounds of English.
Try reading this poem by Emily Dickinson:
"Hope" is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul
And sings the tune without the words
And never stops at all.
Or this one by Walt Whitman:
I celebrate myself, and sing myself,
And what I assume you shall assume,
For every atom belonging to me
as good belongs to you.
And the end of Robert Frost's famous poem:
The woods are lovely, dark, and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.
Feather: pluma
Perch: posarse
Assume: asumir, pensar
