Preposiciones innecesarias en inglés

Los españoles tienen la fea costumbre de entrar dentro, salir fuera, subir arriba y bajar abajo y los norteamericanos, para no ser menos, también caen en estos hoyos, pero lo hacen en inglés, para parecer más elegantes lingüísticamente.  Así emplean preposiciones sin ton ni son, como:

To listen up

Listen up to what the teacher is saying.

Stand up

Please stand up near the window.

Lie down

Lie down on your stomach, please.

Meet with

I met with Peter and Mary at the Mall.

Meet up with

I will meet up with the board tomorrow morning.

Throw out of

Throw the cup out of the window.

Award with

I was awarded with a gold medal.

Las preposiciones no son necesarias en preguntas que comienzan con where:

Where are you going to?

Where is he working at?
