One of my kind readers in Instagram asks: "... por qué humillar a los hablantes con un montón de reglas gramaticales?" It is not a question of humiliating people, or putting them to shame, it is rather a way of showing that we are judged by the way we speak, believe it or not, fair or not. Language discrimination? Indeed, I fear. Our grammatical mistakes, our accent, our choice of words... give away who we are. It is downright, absolute, out-and-out discrimination. Is it fair? Of course not, but such is life. Take it or leave it. But do mind your language when you are interviewed for a job. And this goes for English, Spanish, French, German... or even Farsi, I bet.
