BITCH!

Una mujer desagradable, vocinglera, agresiva es a bitch: “Call me a stupid bitch, you fucking cow - you’re the one who’s the thief.” Michael Falk, Part of the furniture. (London: Bellew Publishing Company Ltd, 1991). ‎ “This lady is a bitch, bitch, bitch, bitch, bitch, bitch....” (Towleroad ‎Sep 4, 2009) “But so many times before I had done just this thing, been reviled as a mindfucking bitch with a heart of stone.” (London: Serpent’s Tail, 1993). Es un insult, claro.
El verbo to bitch significa quejarse, refunfuñar, rezongar, gruñir: “Oh, for Christ’s sake, stop bitching!” Robert Kee, A crowd is not company. (London: Sphere Books Ltd, 1991). “...they would have something to bitch about, but they are bitching anyway.”
A son of a bitch es un hijo de puta. El plural puede ser Sons of bitches o Sons of a bitch. Y algo curioso: A una mujer se le dice también Son of a bitch. “Find him and see what the son of a bitch is up to.” Eddy Shah, The Lucy ghosts. (London: Corgi Books, 1993).
Tenemos un pequeño eufemismo: SOB (esoubí): He’s an SOB.
Y otro eufemismo: Son of a gun, equivalente a Hijo de la gran… Bretaña.
Todo este asunto puede resultar muy ofensivo y lo mejor es ejercer mucha cautela.
Aparece también como sonofabitch, o S.O.B.
Un perro es a dog y una perra es a bitch y es por eso que la gente habla de female dog, para evitar la palabra.
