¿Verdad? ¿NO? Tag endings /questions
En castellano y cuando queremos reforzar una frase afirmativa decimos: ¿no?, ¿verdad?, ¿es cierto? En realidad no es una pregunta, sino simplemente una manera de reafirmar lo que acabamos de decir. Por ejemplo: Tu hermano está en Londres, ¿no? Ese ¿no? siempre debe descartarse cuando se habla inglés. Causa una pésima impresión. Nunca digas no de esa manera a los anglófonos.
Si el verbo principal está en forma afirmativa, se repite en la pregunta en forma negativa, empleando el auxiliar apropiado (do, will, did)… y viceversa:

Your students are good, aren´t they? Tus alumnos son buenos, ¿no?
They speak English, don´t they? Hablan inglés, ¿verdad?
They will not come back, will they? No volverán, ¿no?
She must not smoke here, must she? No debe fumar aquí, ¿verdad?
I may not dance in the office, may I? No debo bailar en la oficina, ¿verdad?
You don´t like beans, do you? No te gustan las alubias, ¿verdad?
She has problems, doesn´t she? Tiene problemas, ¿no?
She went to London, didn´t she? Fue a Londres, ¿no?
You would not hit me, would you? No me pegarías, ¿verdad?
También podemos emplear right cuando queremos una simple confirmación a lo que decimos: Your sister-in-law is pregnant, right? Tu cuñada está embarazada ¿verdad?
Caso aparte e importante es: Aren't I? Normalmente se dice I am tall, aren't I? I am rich and handsome, aren't I? en vez del más formal am I not? Emplee este tag ending sin miedo alguno.
