Let me challenge my readers with a bilingual phraseological riddle. Give the matter some thought, apply your research acumen, test yourself, and see if you can find an English equivalent to:

"Que si sí, que si no (que si, que no)" as in: "Después de mucho que si sí, que si no, David firmó el contrato." 

"La cosa está que si sí, que si no..." (El Mundo, 18/05/1994.)
