El plural de los apellidos ingleses e hispanos

En castellano hablamos y escribimos sobre los Pérez, los Martínez, los Calvo, los Carbonell (la familia Pérez, la familia Martínez...) pero en lengua inglesa emplearemos el plural: the Smiths, the Joneses, the Parrs, the Carbonells.
"The Smiths are coming this evening to play a game of poker." La familia Smith vendrá a jugar al póker. Los Smith vendrán a jugar al póker.
"Los García se van de vacaciones." La familia Garcia se va de vacaciones. "To keep up with the Joneses." "The Trumps are now in the White House, but not for long."
