Polisemia en lenguas paralelas

Una dificultad, cuando manejamos lenguas paralelas, aparece cuando una voz en uno de los dos idiomas tiene varios significados (polisemia) y en el otro sólo uno. Por ejemplo: "key" en inglés, tiene las siguientes palabras en castellano: 1) llave 2) clave 3) tecla 4) tono
Con la llave abro la puerta - I open the door with the key
Tengo la clave del misterio - I have the key to the mystery
Las teclas del piano - The keys of the piano
Fuera de tono - off key
Key es en inglés 1) metal object to open a lock  2) something that affords access (the key to happiness) 3) sound, tone 4) a part of a typewriter
This works both ways, of course.
