A menudo utilizamos palabras, tanto en inglés como en castellano, sin saber el real significado que tienen, o de dónde vienen. Tal es el caso, creo, de Yahoo.
Un paleto, un cateto, pueblerino: “Tell that yahoo not to shout in here!” ¡Díle a ese paleto que no vocee aquí dentro! The Random House Dictionary dice “in Swift’s Gulliver’s Travels one of a race of brutes, having the form and all the vices of humans, who are subject to the Houyhnhnms.”
