HOW WILL HE GO?
He will leave, of course, sooner or later, but how will he go? Let me use two idiomatic expressions, English and Spanish: He will step down, leave, go, not with a bang but a whimper, sin pena ni gloria.
FULL vs. -FUL
FULL Full , lleno. Full of people , lleno de gente. The theater was full , el teatro estaba lleno. Full in the face , en plena cara: The stone hit him full in the face , la piedra le dio en plena cara. To pay in full , pagar la cantidad completa, todo. In full activity, in full bloom, in full battle equipment. Full moon , luna llena. Full time , a tiempo completo. Lo opuesto a part time , tiempo parcial. -FUL Sufijo que se emplea con nombres (sustantivos), para indicar plenitud, lleno: handful , puñado; spoonful , cucharada; plateful of soup , un plato lleno de sopa. También significa caracterizado por, lleno de, como en beautiful , wonderful , careful , harmful , mouthful, thoughtful , pensativo. Nótese que este sufijo se escribe con una “l” y no con dos. Los plurales son spoonfuls , platefuls, cupfuls …
