Phraseology is the freedom of language, the fountainhead of unlimited ways of expression, which creates new meanings with run-of-the-mill words. When we have a boil, we go to the physician to lance it to let matter out thus solving the problem. "Lance the boil of unchecked hatred..." we read in a blog, "to take a decisive and dramatic action that resolves a problem." And in Spanish "cortamos por lo sano" in order to solve a problem, "terminar de una vez, sin paliativos, un asunto que molesta o preocupa."
