OUR FEARS

It is uncanny the way expressions duplicate in English and Spanish. Even simple ones show up in both languages. I am thinking even of weird phrases that explain meanings one simple word will not describe so well. "Fear has a magnifying glass" turns up in Spanish as "el miedo agranda los objetos." Fear enlarges a small danger into a huge one because "fear has a magnifying glass."
