In the movies today we hear profanity, taboo language, racial slurs, insults... and accept that as the norm. Our attitudes have changed and everything goes... but it was not always like that.
Holywood had a Motion Picture Production Code, in 1930, which stated: "Pointed profanity (this includes words God, Christ, Jesus Christ -unless used reverently-, Hell, S.O.B., Damn, however used, IS FORBIDDEN."
