PROVERBS AND GRAFFITI
Graffiti artists have been using proverbs to give them a new and often funny twist. In the Dictionary of Proverbs, by Linda and Roger Flavell, I have found a few examples I would like to share with you.
-- He who laughs last does not get the joke.
--Familiarity breeds.
--It's better to have loved and lost than never to have lust at all.
--Happiness can't buy money.
--Give a man enough hope and he'll hang himself.
--A friend in need is a bloody pest.
--All's fear in love and war.
--Chaste makes waste.
--Two's company, three is an orgy.
--Laugh, and the world thinks you are an idiot.
--Where there's a will, there's an inheritance tax.
