A NEW BROOM SWEEPS CLEAN

 

New things, recently purchased and still unused, seem better and are more appreciated. The old saying new broom sweep clean expresses the idea well. Some citations corroborate that the proverbs is still current: “He’d negotiated the concession, and if it hadn’t been for Erkhard they might have been drilling there now. And, what a coincidence, Spanish has the very same saying: Escoba nueva barre bien. Is this true? What do you think? Perhaps the old broom knows the corners!
